Turns out, the engagement ring that belonged to her character, Eleanor Young, in the hit 2018 movie is actually Yeoh's. "It was very important for it to be real," Yeoh told The Knot . The actress won the Best Actress in a TV Series – Drama award for her role in the smash-hit BBC show Killing Eve . He was a rightly proud daddy. Sandra Oh's win marked a huge turning point for diversity in the industry. She was the first person of Asian descent to host the glittering awards show. She was the first woman of Asian descent to win multiple Golden Globes, and the first to win an award for best actress in a TV drama in 39 years. Bradley Cooper was up for Best Director – Motion Picture for his work on A Star Is Born , but lost out to Mexican director Alfonso Cuaron for his celebrated Netflix hit Roma . Some fans were devastated.
