It's rare that a brand new IP gets the gaming world so excited, but when Bungie – the guys behind Halo – first said in 2012 that it was working on a new title with Activision, we knew it was going to be something special. Now details of Destiny, due out towards the end of the year, have been unveiled, revealing it to be an intergalactic actioner on a scale not seen before. Set in the future, Destiny is being billed as a "shared world shooter", built from the ground up, to be played cooperatively and in an immersive open sandbox world. It sounds ambitious – Bungie has said it's the most challenging project the studio has embarked on – but the graphics revealed so far look inspiring. aritman@thenational.ae Follow us
