Your favourite gadgets could be the breeding ground for all types of bacteria.
For example, the TV remote control is probably the most touched and shared item in the house. It’s dropped on the floor, stuffed between sofa cushions, and coughed and sneezed on. Everyone in the house touches it. Studies have shown that the remote control’s surface is among the most germ-filled in the house. As recommended with all surfaces, make sure to wipe down your remote with bleach or disinfectant wipes, and wash your hands regularly to protect against germs.
Your computer keyboard is another hotbed of harmful microbes. You probably eat, sneeze and cough at your computer, and allow others to use it. Researchers have found that keyboards can be contaminated with a number of potentially harmful bacteria, so make sure to always wash your hands before and after using your device. If you eat or drink at your computer, ensure that you wipe the surface with bleach or disinfectant wipes. Don’t forget to wipe the mouse as well.
