The Ghost Writer The book which inspired this film was called The Ghost, although there is no scene involving Ewan McGregor, Pierce Brosnan and a pottery wheel. Instead, McGregor, above, is a celebrity biographer who is tasked with polishing the memoirs of Adam Lang (Brosnan), a former British prime minister whose career is somewhat reminiscent of Tony Blair's.
