<span>E</span><span>arlier this week, Chinese President Xi Jinping was gifted a purebred Arabian horse by the UAE, and it made us think about what other impressive presents have been given to world leaders during their visits to the country.</span> <span>In 2008, President Sheikh Khalifa gave the then president of the United States George W Bush a solid-gold sash studded with diamonds and gems. In 1979, Sheikh Rashid, the then Ruler of Dubai (not pictured), gifted Queen Elizabeth II diamond and sapphire jewellery and a solid-gold sculpture of a camel and its calf beneath two palms, with rubies as dates. In this image, the queen is seen with Mahdi Al Tajir (second from left), the first UAE Ambassador to the UK, as well as her husband Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh (far left). </span> <span>Last summer, Buckingham Palace presented an exhibition of gifts the queen has received over 65 years.
