English cricket fans would certainly not have needed a pair of 3D recording binoculars to remember the first day of the Test match against Pakistan in Dubai this week.
The collapse of England's batting line-up - officially the best line-up in the world - was humiliating enough to etch the first day vividly in the mind of any fan.
But if there was even one England fan or many Pakistan supporterswanting to relive the moment in 3D, they would have only to wander down the road from Dubai Sports City to Mall of the Emirates. There they would find a revolutionary pair of binoculars that record live scenes in high definition and 3D.
Sony began selling this pair of digital binoculars in the UAE last month, and the gadget should make watching sport that much more fun .
The binoculars can magnify objects by 10 times and record the scene in 3D for replay later on a 3D-compatible television set.
So if your horse comes in first in the Dubai World Cup, you can show your friends a close-up later in the living room. If your favourite golfer hits the perfect shot at next weekend's HSBC Abu Dhabi Golf Championship, you can zoom in from 100 yards away and record the ball within inches of the hole.
The user can also touch a button at any point while viewing and capture a 7.1 megapixel still photo. The videos, still photos and 3D can also be stored on an optional removable memory stick or card. The binoculars have a recording time of three hours and five minutes in 2D and two hours and 40 minutes in 3D.
However, in the same way that birdwatchers will be amazed at the quality of the picture, they will also be shocked at the price.
The binoculars retail for Dh6,999 (US$1,905) in stores across the Emirates, which seems a high price to pay to relive your favourite or not-so-favourite moments.
