Omniyat, a UAE-based private property developer, and Dorchester Collection, which is owned by the sovereign weatlh fund Brunei Investment Agency and manages the Dorchester Hotel in London, will launch the brand in Dubai.
"The collaboration between the Dubai-based high-end developer and the luxury hospitality brand is a long-term agreement that will be rolled out in the coming years," Omniyat said in a statement on Tuesday.
The Dubai property will be Dorchester's first in the Middle East and Asia region, and more details are to be unveiled in the coming weeks, said Omniyat. The official launch of the project is in March, but Omniyat didn't say when it will be finished. . There are plans to eventually expand the brand elsewhere in the GCC.
Omniyat, which says it has a $6.6 billion real estate portfolio of comprising of luxury hospitality-led projects along the Dubai Canal in Business Bay. has partnered with international brands to boost its developments in Dubai.
Among its projects are the Dh2.5bn Opus building, designed by the late architect Zaha Hadid, and The One by Omniyat on the Palm Jumeirah. Omniyat's partnerships with other global hotel operators, includes ME by Melia at The Opus building and The Langham in Business Bay.

The first Dorchester Collection-branded property will be a five-star hotel and luxury serviced residences at the Marasi Business Bay development in Downtown Dubai, close to Dubai Canal. Marasi Business Bay is under construction at present by the real estate arm of Dubai Holding, the ruler of Dubai's investment company.
“This is our first hotel and residence complex in the Middle East and we look forward to bringing our distinct style of hospitality to this region,” added Christopher Cowdray, chief executive of Dorchester Collection.
Dorchester Collection operates a string of luxury hotels in locations including Italy, France and the US. Within its portfolio are The Dorchester and 45 Park Lane in London, Coworth Park in Ascot, Le Meurice and Hôtel Plaza Athénée in Paris, Hotel Principe di Savoia in Milan, Hotel Eden in Rome and The Beverly Hills Hotel and Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles.
