Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) in partnership with a Dubai real estate company, plans to build a Dh2 billion sustainable city, it said on Wednesday. Spread over 668,902 square metres, Sharjah Sustainable City will be completed in four different phases. Located nearly 11km from the Sharjah International Airport, the city will be completely solar powered and recycle its waste and water.. "Construction will start in the next three months and the first phase will be finished by the last quarter of 2021.
