A rare chance to customise a Dolce & Gabbana bag in Abu Dhabi

Tryano in Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi, is playing host to a unique opportunity for collectors of Dolce & Gabbana bags.

Between May 1 and May 6 only, customers will have the opportunity to customise a Sicily bag, using the skills of one of Dolce & Gabbana’s artisans, who will be specially flown over from Italy for the occasion. You can select from a range of Sicily bags — all crafted from Dauphine leather — and have it hand-painted with flowers, initials or even phrases.

As the work will be done by hand and the design will be of your own choosing, the resulting bag will be unique, meaning this is a rare opportunity to acquire a bespoke Dolce & Gabbana handbag, for a limited time only.

What is 'Soft Power'?

Soft power was first mentioned in 1990 by former US Defence Secretary Joseph Nye.
He believed that there were alternative ways of cultivating support from other countries, instead of achieving goals using military strength.
