<span>O</span><span>h, how I love normal women. </span><span>At the Oscars</span><span> yesterday, the pressure was on all those attending to wear the biggest, </span><span>brightest and </span><span>most newsworthy looks.</span> <span>Two looks have grabbed all the attention however, but perhaps for an unexpected reason. Haddish openly admits that buying endless new dresses is beyond her budget. </span><span>A rising star, big enough to be invited to </span><span><em>Saturday Night Live</em></span><span>, her own film's premiere and </span><span>the Oscars, </span><span>Haddish has charmed us by wearing the same dress to all three events.</span> <span>The piece in question is a </span><span>delicious white halter-neck gown, with a split thigh and heavy embellishment around the neck, by Alexander McQueen. </span><span>At US$4,000 (Dh14,693), she admits it was a big purchase</span><span>, so she is intent on getting her money's worth. </span><span>While she arrived </span><span>yesterday wearing a traditional Eritrean robe (in memory of her late father), she </span><span>changed into her fail safe McQueen to take to the stage. And the best thing? Both her and </span><span>co-presenter Maya Rudolph walked on stage in comfy slippers, carrying their high heels in hand. Bless.</span> <span>Rita Moreno, the 86-year-old veteran of films such as </span><span><em>The King and I</em></span><span>, </span><span>donned </span><span>the same gown she wore in 1962</span><span> to accept </span><span>Best </span><span>Actress in a Supporting Role </span><span>for </span><span><em>West Side Story</em></span><span>. Moreno decided to give it another spin, this time recutting it to be strapless, but with the same magnificent jacquard woven skirt, with great golden roundals. Mixing it with long opera gloves, </span><span>a simple headband and a heavy collar necklace, she looked</span><span> fabulous.
