Bees making honey are hotels' latest guests

We came across the most interesting article on Chron.com yesterday, written by an AP writer.

Atop the Waldorf Astoria in New York, bees are being cared for, as the hotels plans to harvest its own honey and help pollinate plants in Manhattan.

Could this be the start of a new trend: hotels around the world planting their own vegetables in their vegetable gardens, raising their own chickens to get eggs every morning, and creating bee farms to harvest their own artisan honey?

According to the article, a "a mini beekeeping boom that has taken over hotel rooftops from Paris to Times Square".

We wonder - will this boom reach Abu Dhabi?
