The Dubai Food Festival isn’t until February, but tickets are already selling quickly for one of the most highly anticipated events of the festival. The Mystery Dining Tour series — a new feature added to the festival’s line-up — will include five different tours that promise to take guests on extraordinary dining adventures.
Tickets are already on sale and they’re going fast. Here are the details:
February 9: The festival's first tour is dubbed The Old to New Dubai Mystery Dining Tour. The tour starts in the historic city centre and will take guests to four different restaurants around the city where chefs will served them a dish that reflects a period of Dubai's history. A professional guide will talk about Dubai's history as well as the food featured — which will be inspired by the view from each location. The meeting point is Zabeel Park. From 6pm, Dh550.
February 14: The High Flying Mystery Valentine Dinner Tour will start with you getting picked up in a limousine from anywhere in Dubai. Guests will tour the suites of an iconic Dubai hotel and dine in two of the hotel's restaurants. They will then take a helicopter flight to a second hotel where they'll finish their meal under an aquarium. A limousine will then deliver guests back to their homes. This experience is limited to three couples. From 6pm, Dh9,120.
February 17: From One Chef to Another Mystery Dining Tour is a food-lover's dream. Chef Tomas Reger has lived in Dubai for seven years. He'll take guests around to meet the best chefs in the city to enjoy each chef's favourite dishes at the exclusive chef's table. Meeting point is La Serre in Vida Downtown Hotel. February 18: The Celebrity Hotspots Mystery Dining Tour is just what it says. Guests will dine in celebrities' favourite restaurants in Dubai and dine on dishes the stars love. There will also be a meet and greet with one of Dubai's most famous chefs (who was previously a judge on Chopped). Guests will be transported to each restaurant via limousine and dine in private rooms. Meeting point is the lobby of The Old Palace Downtown. From 6pm, Dh840.
February 23: The Dubai Skyline Mystery Dining Tour will take guests to four different rooftop terraces to dine on exquisite cuisine while taking in stunning views of the Dubai skyline. The last stop will be on the 43rd floor of a building in the middle of the city. Food and drinks will be inspired by the views of the city. Meeting point is Zabeel Park. From 6pm, Dh550.
