Following a tumultuous build up that saw the tournament variously shifted between Iraq, Qatar and Kuwait, the 23rd Arabian Gulf Cup finally kicked off in Kuwait last month. Following group qualification and a semi-final penalties victory over Iraq, the UAE meets Oman in the tournament final at 6.30pm (UAE time) on Friday night. Abu Dhabi Sports and Dubai Sports will both be broadcasting the game, but if you’d rather get out of the house to catch the match action, here’s our guide to where to watch the big game. Loca, Souq al Baha and Marine Beach Resort, Dubai and Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi Where better to start your very own Mexican wave while you catch the action than the popular nacho and taco emporium that is Loca? All three venues across the UAE will be screening the game, and in the event of yet another goalless draw, at least you can console yourself with some spicy, corn-based snacks. Kickers Sports Bar, Dubai Sports City When it comes to sports, Kickers goes the extra mile to never let you miss a match! Catch the game from every possible angle with five large projector screens and 11 TV’s. Promotions on food and drink run all throughout the day. Stars and Bars, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi The ever popular American-themed sports bar in Yas Marina will once again be on hand, screening every kick on its 76 HDTV Screens, as well as its 100" video wall complete with full audio commentary. NRG, Meridien Village, Abu Dhabi Meridien Village’s popular sports bar will be screening the game on its giant indoor and outdoor screens, alongside its usual menu of bar snacks and refreshments. And if the result doesn’t go your way, at least Meridien Village offers a host of other eateries to escape the torment. McGettigan's, various venues, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Al Ain The ever-popular Irish pub will be screening the game across its many venues nationwide, with the chain's ever-present hearty food, refreshing drinks, traditional Irish music and craic on hand as a potential distraction too. __________________ Read more: __________________
