Britain's <a href="https://www.thenational.ae/lifestyle/prince-charles-to-spend-his-birthday-on-official-visit-to-india-1.929870">Prince Charles has touched down in India </a>for a two-day trip, which coincides with his 71st birthday on Thursday. He landed in New Delhi on Wednesday, embarking on his second trip to the country in two years. He last visited India in 2017. Since arriving in the country, he has visited Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, the place of worship for Sikhs in the city, and met members of the public at a community kitchen in the temple. <strong>Click though the gallery above to see photos of Prince Charles' first day in India.</strong> According to Clarence House, "sustainable markets, climate change and social finance" will be the focus of Prince of Wales' visit to India. He took a ride in an electric, battery-operated rickshaw, and visited the India Meteorological Department. During the meeting, he discussed ways to "strengthen disaster resilience and tackle the effects of climate change". He will also meet the Indian business community in Mumbai to discuss sustainability. Ahead of his visit, Prince Charles posted a message on Instagram that read: "As I depart for India, on my tenth official visit, I did just want to convey my warmest best wishes to all of you in the Sikh Community in the United Kingdom, and across the Commonwealth, on the 550th Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. "The principles on which Guru Nanak founded the Sikh religion, and which guide your lives to this day, are ones which can inspire us all – hard work, fairness, respect, and selfless service to others. In embodying these values, Sikhs have made the most profound contribution to the life of this country, and continue to do so, in every imaginable field, just as you do in so many other places around the world. "This week, as Sikhs everywhere honour the founder of your faith, my wife and I wanted you to know just how much your community is valued and admired by us all, and that our thoughts are with you at this very special time. After his visit to India in 2017, he and wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, travelled to Brunei, Singapore and Malaysia. His recent royal tour follows close after that of the <a href="https://www.thenational.ae/lifestyle/prince-harry-and-meghan-markle-arrive-in-cape-town-1.913969">Duke and Duchess of Sussex</a> to South Africa last month, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to <a href="https://www.thenational.ae/lifestyle/duke-and-duchess-of-cambridge-reflect-on-special-pakistan-tour-1.926486">Pakistan</a>. On November 5, it was announced that Prince William will <a href="https://www.thenational.ae/lifestyle/prince-william-to-visit-oman-and-kuwait-this-december-1.933559">embark on a tour of Oman and Kuwait</a> from December 1 to 4.
