On another action-filled holiday, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, has been exploring the Scottish Highlands. Fresh from a sojourn in the Maldives, the Dubai royal posted a video on Instagram showing himself hiking alongside a river in Scotland, as well as drone footage showing the country’s dramatic waterfalls, expansive lakes and emerald-green hills. In one particularly striking scene, Sheikh Hamdan’s drone follows a herd of deer as they run across the mountainside. Sporting sturdy hiking shoes and a blue backpack, Sheikh Hamdan is joined on his walkabout by a group of at least six friends. The royal is well known for his love of adventure holidays, whether he is cycling in Estonia, exploring the Faroe Islands, hiking in Mongolia, spearfishing, cave diving or swimming with whale sharks. While it is not made clear where in Scotland Sheikh Hamdan is holidaying, his father, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, owns a Highland estate on the remote Isle of Skye. The 30 bedroom Inverinate estate in Wester Ross overlooks Loch Duich, so it is possible that this is the waterway spotted in the royal’s latest snaps.
