The 25-year-old defender, who played for Greek club Xanthi, died yesterday after skidding off a highway near the northern town of Kavala. No one else was hurt. Adefemi was not selected for Nigeria's World Cup team last year, but played in the World Youth Championship in the Netherlands in 2005. Marathon best time for Mutai BOSTON // Geoffrey Mutai has won the Boston Marathon yesterday in 2 hours, 3 minutes, 2 seconds - the fastest anyone has ever run the 26.2 mile distance. The previous best of 2:03:59 was by Haile Gebrselassie in Berlin 2008. But because the race had a strong tailwind on a downhill course, Mutai's run does not qualify as a record. But Mutai's effort was almost three minutes better than the course record set by Robert Kiprono Cheruiyot. One week ban for Henson TOULON // Gavin Henson, the Wales centre, has been suspended for a week by Toulon for breaching club discipline, the French club announced yesterday. "Gavin Henson has been suspended for one week for breaching the club's code of conduct," a club statement said.
