Early strikes give Everton victory

Two goals in six first-half minutes helped Everton beat struggling Stoke. The Brazilian Jo opened the scores, squeezing a shot past Thomas Sorensen. Then after 24 minutes, Joleon Lescott fired home a rebound after Sorensen had blocked Tim Cahill's header. Ryan Shawcross's header put Stoke back in it after the break but Marouane Fellaini's stunner in stoppage time put Stoke in the bottom three.
