SUBS: Johann Berg Gudmundsson (on for Rodriguez ‘82), NR - A late appearance from the bench for the returning Iceland international who cleverly won his side a free-kick deep in their own territory to eat up some more seconds. PA

ARSENAL RATINGS: Aaron Ramsdale, 6 - Superbly turned behind Dwight McNeil’s misplaced cross behind with a strong right hand. Got away with one when he palmed a corner straight into a cluster of bodies, but he used his head well - literally - to deny Vydra. Reuters

Ben White, 7 - A competent afternoon’s work from the ex-Brighton man who looked more like an extra midfielder and produced a couple of eye-catching diagonal passes. EPA

Rob Holding, 6 - Did brilliantly to keep out Matej Vydra as Arsenal continued to struggle against Burnley set-pieces. Got his head on Saka’s in-swinging corner at the other end, but his effort looped harmlessly over. Had the better of Rodriguez all day long. EPA

Gabriel, 6 - Didn’t have a great deal to tidy up at the back in a comfortable performance, other than a few suspect set-pieces. Forced a routine stop from Pope when he headed straight at the goalkeeper in the 87th minute. AP

Kieran Tierney, 7 - Did well to turn behind a dangerous cross from Ashley Westwood, but could only hammer into the stand at the other end after more delicious footwork from Lacazette. Produced some perfect slipped passes for Smith Rowe to latch onto. PA

Albert Sambi Lokonga, 6 - Confidently dealt with Connor Roberts’ looping throw in the opening exchanges with a big header out from the back. Conceded a needless corner with a horrible back-pass that skidded straight out of play despite Ramsdale’s efforts. AP

Bukayo Saka, 7 - Probably had more kicks from Burnley players than the ball. Always had the better of Erik Pieters in a decent outing, but he couldn’t find a way to break the deadlock and curled his best effort just wide shortly before half-time. AP

Martin Odegaard, 8 - Picked his passes well . Should have opened the scoring when his effort from inside the box was repelled by the feet of Nick Pope. Fired inches over from a free-kick after the break and almost crafted the breakthrough with a brilliant corner. Reuters

Emile Smith Rowe, 8 - Another brilliant outing from the 21-year-old whose low drive was kept out by a remarkable Pope save from Odegaard’s corner. Created the best chance of the game when he found Lacazette after a blistering run. AFP

Gabriel Martinelli, 6 - Showed plenty of intent with a couple of driving runs into the box from the left-hand side, the first of which was well dealt with by Roberts before his strike was deflected away to safety next time around. PA

SUBS: Eddie Nketiah (on for Smith Rowe, 77’), N/A - Didn’t have too much time to make an impact but he showed a desire to play with purpose and was involved in a couple of neat passing exchanges that further improved Arsenal’s corner count. PA

BURNLEY RATINGS: Nick Pope, 8 - Kept his side on level terms with a smart save to deny Odegaard from point-blank range before denying Smith Rowe when he tipped the midfielder’s effort through a crowded penalty area around the post. EPA

Connor Roberts, 8 - Asked an early question with a long throw into the Arsenal box but it was well dealt with by the hosts. Did brilliantly to see off Martinelli in his own box moments later and denied the same man a sitter with an excellent header under pressure. AFP

James Tarkowski, 8 - Resilient. Showed his quality under pressure as the Burnley defence continued to deal with everything Arsenal threw at it. A proper centre-back’s display from the 29-year-old stalwart who was good value for his point. Getty

Ben Mee, 8 - The Burnley skipper made it 10 years as a Claret earlier this week and he almost celebrated in style with a fizzed effort that flew just over Ramsdale’s bar. Like Tarkowski, produced an accomplished display at the back and deserved his clean sheet. PA

Erik Pieters, 6 - Struggled against the pace and trickery of a man thirteen years his junior in Bukayo Saka. Nonetheless, he soldiered on after a painful collision with the latter and produced a couple of big blocks in the second half. Getty

Aaron Lennon, 5 - Forced to do some early defending as he hacked the ball behind for a corner. Saw little of the ball as Arsenal turned the screw, and he gave away some cheap free-kicks in dangerous areas for needlessly clattering into White and then Saka. AP

Ashley Westwood, 6 - Picked up a yellow card for lunging in late on Tierney, although it looked like he tried to pull out of the challenge. Fortunate not to be shown a second shortly after as Burnley started to lose their composure a little. AP

Josh Brownhil, 7 - Became the second Burnley midfielder to see yellow in a matter of minutes when he recklessly hauled down Smith Rowe to halt the Arsenal counter and that could prove costly with the 26-year-old now ruled out of a crucial clash with Watford. AFP
