Despite Everton taking two wins from their last three games, it feels almost inevitable that it will be the red half of Merseyside enjoying bragging rights this weekend. Bournemouth v Wolves (6pm): Eight games into the season and Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has yet to win game and his team sit second bottom. Gary O'Neil, going up against the club that controversially sacked him in the summer, has seen his side take four points from two tough games against Manchester City and Aston Villa. Brentford v Burnley (6pm): Brentford find themselves sitting down in 15th in the table having won just one game all season, losing three out of their last four. Burnley have also won once but are third bottom having lost six out of their eight games. Prediction: Brentford 2 Burnley 0. PA

Manchester City v Brighton (6pm): Turns out Manchester City players might just be human after losing two on the trot having started the season with six wins on the spin. Brighton needed a late leveller from Lewis Dunk to grab a draw against Liverpool and avoid their second defeat in a row. Prediction: Man City 2 Brighton 1. Reuters

Newcastle United v Crystal Palace (6pm): Eighth-place Newcastle sit one point and one spot ahead of Palace but it's Eddie Howe's Magpies who have more momentum behind them having taken ten points out of possible 12 from their last four matches. Prediction: Newcastle 3 Palace 1. PA

Nottingham Forest v Luton Town (6pm): Forest are without a win in four games, albeit having drawn three of them - during which time they have managed just two goals. Luton have lost two in a row meaning they have been beaten six times in eight games this season - with a seventh on the way here. Forest 1 Luton 0. Reuters

Chelsea v Arsenal (8.30pm): A test of Chelsea's progress under Mauricio Pochettino as they take on joint table-toppers Arsenal having won two games on the spin. The Gunners enjoyed a narrow victory over Manchester City last time out and sit joint top of the table. Prediction: Chelsea 1 Arsenal 1. Getty

Sheffield United v Manchester United (11pm): The Blades sit bottom of the table with just one point from eight games having conceded 22 goals along the way. United were heading for a third defeat in three home games until two Scott McTominay goals in injury-time earned them a last-gasp win against Brentford before the international break.
