Struggling West Ham United host runaway Premier League leaders Liverpool on Wednesday. David Moyes's side sit 17th in the table, above the relegation places on goal difference, while Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool can open up a 19-point lead over Manchester City should they win at the London Stadium. West Ham fans are entitled to feel disgruntled. Record signing Sebastian Haller's return of six goals in 19 games has hardly made headlines, while captain Mark Noble is the next highest with four league goals. Haller joined the Hammers for £45 million (Dh215m) from Eintracht Frankfurt last summer, with Forbes reporting the former French Under 21 international pocketing an annual salary of £6.3m, or just over £121,000 a week. And while the club's record signing earning the most wages – especially if that player is a striker – is by no means beyond the pale, Jack Wilshere's is. The injury-prone former Arsenal and England midfielder is the club's second highest paid player, according to Spotrac, an online sports team and player contract website. Above is a photo gallery of 19 West Ham players and their weekly salaries. One disclaimer is that these figures were recorded at the start of the 2019/20 season, and do not include any new and improved terms signed by any players such as Declan Rice, who agreed a new long-term contract with the club in December.
