Brazilian football legend Pele was in Dubai to attend the CVC Convention. Pele, 77, a three-time World Cup winner and regarded universally as one of the greatest players of all time, attended the convention as a global ambassador for the airline. On Saturday Pele posted a picture on board the first-class section of an Emirates A380 on his way to the UAE. He then posted a another picture from the convention, which was attended by over 1,500 of Brazil’s top travel agents to help showcase Dubai’s latest tourism attractions and services and promote the city to Brazilian travellers. Pele has visited the country on at least two other occasions. The first, in 1973, saw the scorer of a record 77 international goals for Brazil lead his Santos team in a friendly in Dubai against Al Nasr, while his most recent visit was in 2014.
