ABU DHABI, // Rafael Nadal and Serena Williams will be looking to add to their collection of Laureus World Sports Awards when the winners are revealed next month.
The Spanish and American tennis stars were among the nominees for the 2011 honours revelaed in Abu Dhabi today.
Nadal is in the running for his second prize in the men's competition.
He's up against the Formula One champion Sebastian Vettel, the Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao, the LA Lakers' Kobe Bryant and the Barcelona footballers Andres Iniesta and Lionel Messi.
Three-time winner Williams is up against fellow tennis players Kim Clijsters and Caroline Wozniacki, as well as the American skier Lindsey Vonn, the track athlete Jessica Ennis of Britain and the Croatian high jumper Blanka Vlasic.

Know before you go
- Jebel Akhdar is a two-hour drive from Muscat airport or a six-hour drive from Dubai. It’s impossible to visit by car unless you have a 4x4. Phone ahead to the hotel to arrange a transfer.
