Kobe Bryant scored 29 points as the Los Angeles Lakers doubled their NBA Finals lead after edging out the Orlando Magic 101-96 in overtime at the Staples Center. Pau Gasol added 29 points, seven in overtime, and 10 rebounds for the Lakers and made a key three-point play with 74 seconds remaining in overtime which pushed the lead to 97-91. Derek Fisher added 12 and Lamar Odom contributed 19 off the bench for the Lakers, who are two wins away from a 15th championship. Rashard Lewis top scored with 34 points, 18 in the second quarter, and added 11 rebounds for the Magic, who host Game Three on Tuesday at Amway Arena with the Lakers boasting an impressive 38-1 record when leading a series 2-0. Hedo Turkoglu added 22, while Dwight Howard hit 17 points and 16 rebounds for Orlando, who have still yet to win a Finals game. Orlando had a chance to win the contest in regulation but after Bryant was stripped from behind by Turkoglu as he looked to shot over Howard, the Magic had 0.6 seconds remaining but rookie Courtney Lee missed a lay up at the buzzer. In overtime, Lewis drained a three pointer to trim the lead to 99-96, but Odom converted two free throws as the Lakers completed a run of 14 straight from the line down the stretch to seal the win. * PA Sport
