The Toronto Maple Leafs produced a stunning third period display to score five unanswered goals and shock the Eastern Conference-leading New York Rangers 5-2 on Saturday. The loss ended a four-game winning streak by the Rangers, who had taken a 2-0 lead with goals by Ryan Callahan and Blair Betts. John Mitchell sparked the whirlwind comeback with the first of his two goals after the Maple Leafs had been shut out for more than 52 minutes.
"We're a youthful team and got all excited," the Maple Leafs coach Ron Wilson joked. "We got re-energized, and the crowd got into it and it just snowballed." Mitchell started the fightback, before Jason Blake and Pavel Kubina found the net to put the Maple Leafs in front. Mitchell struck again and then Dominic Moore completed the scoring. * Reuters

Sharrie Williams
The American singer is hugely respected in blues circles due to her passionate vocals and songwriting. Born and raised in Michigan, Williams began recording and touring as a teenage gospel singer. Her career took off with the blues band The Wiseguys. Such was the acclaim of their live shows that they toured throughout Europe and in Africa. As a solo artist, Williams has also collaborated with the likes of the late Dizzy Gillespie, Van Morrison and Mavis Staples.
Lin Rountree
An accomplished smooth jazz artist who blends his chilled approach with R‘n’B. Trained at the Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, DC, Rountree formed his own band in 2004. He has also recorded with the likes of Kem, Dwele and Conya Doss. He comes to Dubai on the back of his new single Pass The Groove, from his forthcoming 2018 album Stronger Still, which may follow his five previous solo albums in cracking the top 10 of the US jazz charts.
Anita Williams
Dubai-based singer Anita Williams will open the night with a set of covers and swing, jazz and blues standards that made her an in-demand singer across the emirate. Tips for used car buyers
- Choose cars with GCC specifications
- Get a service history for cars less than five years old
- Don’t go cheap on the inspection
- Check for oil leaks
- Do a Google search on the standard problems for your car model
- Do your due diligence. Get a transfer of ownership done at an official RTA centre
- Check the vehicle’s condition. You don’t want to buy a car that’s a good deal but ends up costing you Dh10,000 in repairs every month
- Validate warranty and service contracts with the relevant agency and and make sure they are valid when ownership is transferred
- If you are planning to sell the car soon, buy one with a good resale value. The two most popular cars in the UAE are black or white in colour and other colours are harder to sell
