BEIJING // Pang Wei of China won the gold medal in the men's 10-metre air pistol event, easily outlasting a pair of Koreans in the final round.
Jin Jong-oh of South Korea won the silver, and Kim Jong Su of North Korea took the bronze.
Pang, the 2006 world champion, finished with 688.2 points, beating Jin by 3.7.
When the final round ended, Pang turned around and waved his hat in the air while the home crowd cheered.
Pang's margin of victory was a sizeable one. There was only a four-point difference between second place and sixth.
