We profiled Omer Mohammed, the 17 year old from Model School, with his enthusiasm and dedication to the sport. Also this week's talented showcase of students include three budding golfers, including two from the British School Al Khubairat team for the Junior Golf League, and a tall leg-spinner on the verge of a hat-trick for Sherwood High School pupil. Till Schwarte The 14 year old German International School, Abu Dhabi, pupil teamed up with Ahmed Al Budoor to win the UAE National Day Junior Golf Championship at Yas Links. The City Golf Club member played a big part in the pair's gross score of 30 around the par-3 course as they won by five shots in the betterball gross format. Maninderjeet Singh Maninderjeet Singh will be on a hat-trick for the next game in the Abu Dhabi inter-school cricket tournament having taken the last two wickets to lead Sherwood to a 107-run win over Sunrise. The leg spinner returned with four for 11 and the man of the match award in the opening match of the Under 16 tournament at the Zayed Cricket Stadium as Sherwood bowled out Sunrise for 84. Jonny McLeod The British School Al Khubairat pupil top-scored in yesterday's Abu Dhabi Inter-Club and Schools Junior Golf League despite extremely strong and windy conditions at the Saadiyat Beach Golf Club with 20 points in the stableboard format. He was part of the winning team, consisting of Ronan and Darren Hall. Ronan Hall Ronan played his part in BSAK's success, where they finished with a score of 53 points, at Saadiyat by finishing closest to the pin to help in his team's scoring on the stableford format. Ronan's effort came on the 17th hole of the Abu Dhabi course and proved more valuable considering they were one player short in what should have been a four-strong team. ALSO READ:
