The UAE are to take on Australia in a warm-up match next year ahead of the World Cup.
The ICC on Monday announced a set of warm-up fixtures ahead of the tournament, which is to be played in Australia and New Zealand between February 14 and March 29.
Captain Khurram Khan’s side will take on the Australians, who are the most successful side in World Cup history having won the 50-over competition in 1987, 1999, 2003 and 2007, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on February 11.
The UAE will also play Afghanistan in Melbourne, at the Junction Oval on February 13, in their last action before the tournament starts.
UAE are in Pool B at the World Cup and face world champions India, Pakistan, South Africa, the West Indies and Zimbabwe in matches split between Australia and New Zealand. Before then, they continue their series of four one-day international matches with Afghanistan in Dubai on Tuesday.
The UAE won the first two games by five wickets on Friday and then by six wickets on Sunday.
The fourth game between the sides is on Thursday.
