Abu Dhabi has lit up to celebrate the Eid Al Adha festival next week. The municipality has installed at least 2,800 light fixtures across the emirate to mark the occasion. They can be seen on the side of roads, on bridges and at roundabouts. Particularly striking are those lining the Corniche. The decorations reflect the history and heritage of the UAE and include floral designs and greetings in Arabic. Others include the dhallah, a traditional coffee pot. Workers across the UAE can look forward to a four-day break starting Monday. Many have taken the chance to travel abroad, while others will enjoy staycations and visiting the UAE's sights.
