Bus catches fire at Jumeirah Beach Residence in Dubai

A 14-seater bus was gutted by fire at Jumeirah Beach Residence today.

A Dubai Civil Defence team were able to extinguish the fire shortly after.

It is not clear if there were any passengers on board the bus, but no injuries were reported.

The incident occurred near the entrance of Jumeirah Beach Residence walk.

"The bus was completely burned but a team from the Barsha fire station intervened quickly and was able to control the situation," a Civil Defence spokesman said, adding the cause of the fire was not yet known.

Dubai Police are currently investigating.

Earlier yesterday, a car caught fire on Dubai's Sheikh Zayed road, causing heavy congestion.
