Case of Arab teacher sexually assaulting pupil deferred

The Criminal Court in Ras Al Khaimah deferred the case of an Arab teacher in his 50s who was accused of sexually assaulting a boy he was tutoring.

The victim’s mother had filed a complaint against the defendant after she believed she saw him touching her son, 9, indecently.

The child was examined by a doctor and the medical report revealed symptoms of mild assault.

The defence council claimed that the mother’s testimony was false and emphasised his client’s good reputation. The boy also testified and corroborated his mother’s claims.
