Delegates to the One Young World summit



The delegates flying the flag for the UAE at the One Young World summit were:

Ahmad Al Ghanim, a 25-year old Emirati, is a Higher Colleges of Technology graduate and is interested in media and photography. An ambassador for the Twofour54 media zone in Abu Dhabi.

Fatima Al Khateeb, 19, is an Emirati who is studying at the American University of Sharjah. Says she believes in the power of media to facilitate global change, and is interested in health, interfaith dialogue and leadership.

Sana Al Marzouqi, a 20-year-old Emirati, set up a group at Zayed University in Dubai called UAE Links through which she organised a number of events. Was president of the student council for 2010-2011 and is a member in the Young Eager Steps organisation.

Jassim Al Nowais 23, is an Emirati and works as a client relationship executive at Twofour54. Areas of interest include business, leadership and the media.

Zaid Al Rayes, 21, from Syria, was last year named ambassador for young people in the UAE by the Arab Thought Foundation, which promotes the economic, social and cultural development of the Arab world. A student at the American University of Sharjah.

Maha Yaqoot Juma Harqoos, a 20-year-old Emirati, attended the Academic Integrity conference in California in her role as president of the Zayed University Honour Council.

Mai Shoeib, a 21-year-old graduate of the American University of Sharjah, is interested in the environment, health, leadership, media and interfaith dialogue. Has Egyptian-Tunisian dual nationality and has lived in the UAE all her life.
