Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and the US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, discussed strategic relations between the countries in a phone call on Tuesday. Sheikh Mohamed, also Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Mr Pompeo reviewed regional and international issues of mutual interest, including the Abraham Accord between the UAE and Israel, the state news agency Wam reported. They also looked at how they could strengthen it to promote peace and stability in the region. Sheikh Mohamed and Mr Pompeo also reviewed ways to strengthen ties between their two countries. They discussed the latest developments in the GCC and the wider Middle East. The UAE and the US affirmed their commitment to jointly fight the Covid-19 pandemic and discussed ways to limit its impact.
