WASHINGTON // Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has attended a dinner banquet hosted by Barack Obama ahead of a summit at Camp David with the leaders of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.
President Obama and other US government officials greeted Sheikh Mohammed upon his arrival at the White House.
Sheikh Mohammed is heading the UAE delegation to the Camp David summit, which starts on Thursday.
Accompanying him on the trip are Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed, Deputy National Security Adviser, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Foreign Minister, Yousef Al Otaiba, UAE Ambassador to the United States, and other dignitaries.
Sheikh Mohammed had talks with Mr Obama on cooperation and relations between their countries and ways to serve the common interests, reported state news agency Wam.
The banquet was also attended by Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, emir of Qatar, Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, deputy prime minister and interior minister of Saudi Arabia, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, crown prince, deputy supreme commander and first deputy prime minister of Bahrain, and Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, deputy prime minister for cabinet affairs of Oman.
