Public parking will be free and toll gate charges will be waived in Abu Dhabi during the Eid Al Adha holiday. The emirate's Integrated Transport Centre said surface parking spaces – managed under the Mawaqif system – would be available to motorists without cost from Monday, July 19 until 7.59am on Saturday, July 24. The authority said parking spaces in Mussafah industrial area (M18) would be free during the period. Motorists will be able to travel through the Darb toll gates, located at bridges across the capital, during the four-day holiday without incurring charges. Officials said public bus services would follow Friday and holiday timetables. The public should visit the ITC website for up-to-date timings for buses and ferry services. Public and private sector workers will enjoy a long break in celebration of Eid Al Adha. The public holiday will begin next Monday and conclude on Thursday, giving many staff six days of rest from work. On Wednesday, Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority confirmed public parking spaces would be free during the holiday. However, multi-storey car parks will continue to charge motorists during this period.
