RAK police warn trucks not to park on the side of main roads

Motorists and residents in Ras Al Khaimah are complaining of trucks and heavy machinery randomly parked on the sides of main roads, leading to serious accidents especially after dark.

The traffic and patrols department at RAK Police has issued instructions to truck drivers to refrain from parking in such places, the department’s director Col Ali Al Alekum, said.

He said the department is rolling out a campaign to fine violators. The law allows fines up to Dh200 and four black points for violations.
