UAE weather: Hazy skies as temperature hits 46°C

Fair to hazy skies are expected across the country on Wednesday, with rain forecast for Thursday. Temperatures will rise with a gradual increase in cloud cover over the eastern mountains, and may become convective by the afternoon. Light to moderate south-easterly winds will become north-westerly by late night and gain strength over the sea, reaching a speed of 38 km/h, according to the National Centre of Meteorology. Humidity is likely to increase during the night and Thursday morning over most coastal and internal areas with a chance of fog formation. Temperatures are expected to increase, reaching 46°C inland, ranging between 42°C and 27°C along the coast, and 35°C to 19°C in the mountains. Seas will be moderate to rough in Arabian Gulf and moderate in Oman Sea.
