The video shows two women walking on to the tracks at Tide Mills, Sussex before stopping in the middle. They check for oncoming trains before one lays down in the middle of the track. One takes photos before the pair run off the crossing. The incident happened on January 18 and Twitter users were quick to criticise the pair after Network Rail posted it online. British Transport Police Inspector Jonathan Pine said: "This is unthinkably stupid behaviour by two women clearly oblivious to the dangers of level crossings. "Trains pass through this line at speeds of up to 70mph (112 kilometres per hour), so they could quite easily have been moments away from a catastrophic incident. "We've seen first-hand the consequences of this sort of recklessness and no photo opportunity is worth risking your life for."
