Affordable art fair returns to Dubai

The city’s affordable art fair World Art Dubai is returning for its third edition from April 12 – 15. Supported by Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, the event will exhibit 3,000 works of art ranging from US$100 to US$20,000.

More than 35 international galleries representing 120 emerging and established talents will attend the event, but, what is perhaps most interesting is that they give booths to artists who are not represented by galleries, offering a direct contact.

Among the new features at World Art Dubai this year is Exhibition Islam, which includes contemporary Islamic artwoks by artists from or with roots in the Middle East

On opening night there will also be a fashion show for "wearable art", showcasing the creative efforts of the region's fashion students. Other event highlights include Creative Learning Workshops, which offer a range of arts and crafts masterclasses, live painting, installation art works, talks and the Ripe Contemporary Design & Craft Market. There will also be a section titled Art for Every Wall offering a selection of pieces below Dh3,000.

World Art Dubai will happen at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
