Disney princesses such as Rapunzel, Cinderella, Snow White, Belle and Ariel will now dance to popular Bollywood songs. Five Bollywood mash-up music videos will be broadcast on the Disney Channel and will feature songs such as Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, Aashiyan and Udi Udi.
“Our princesses are timeless, ageless and personify values that kids love and parents trust. Through the second edition of Disney Princess Academy, we hope to provide our fans with an opportunity to live their princess dream and meet their favourite characters,” said Roshini Bakshi, Disney UTV’s managing director of licensing and retail.
As a part of the second edition of the Disney Princess Academy campaign, three Disney princesses will take their magic to eight cities – Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai, Kochi, Chandigarh and Pune.
Disney Princess Academy lets Disney’s fans in India experience the stories and engage with their favourite characters. This year, 3,600 Disney princess fans will participate in the event – eight will also get a chance to star on a Disney Channel programme.
The Disney Princess Academy campaign ends on February 2 in New Delhi.
