Dubai Opera will host special screenings of Tenet this weekend. Christopher Nolan's latest offering is one of the most anticipated films of the year. Originally slated for a July release, the film was delayed numerous times due to the coronavirus pandemic. But now it seems we'll finally be able to watch the Interstellar director's sci-fi thriller as the film gears up to hit UAE cinemas on Thursday, August 27. However, if you’re looking for a more memorable viewing experience, you will be able to watch the film at Dubai Opera. The venue will be showing the film on Friday, August 28, at 12pm, 5pm and 9.30pm. Tickets start at Dh70. Audiences in the UAE will be among the first in the world to see Tenet when it is released this weekend. The film will not be showing in the US until next month, debuting on Thursday, September 3. An action epic with a time-travel twist, Tenet tells the story of an international spy trying to prevent another world war from breaking out. The film stars John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Michael Caine and Kenneth Branagh. Warner Bros chairman Toby Emmerich last month described the film as a "wholly original and mind-blowing feature". Nolan reportedly worked on the film's script for more than five years, after deliberating on its main concepts for a decade. Early reviews for the film have already begun popping up, with many praising the cast's performances and positively comparing it to his action thriller Inception. The film holds an 81 per cent rating on the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, with the Critics' Consensus reading calling it "a cerebral spectacle" and "a visually dazzling puzzle for film lovers to unlock."
