The best thing about a fancy party is the gift bag and The Academy Awards, it seems, are no exception. Following the awards ceremony, which is taking place on February 24 (the early hours of February 25 in UAE time), all of the nominees will be walking away with a money-can't-buy goodie bag, packed full of holidays, beauty products and more worth "up to six figures," according to reports. Dubbed the "Everyone Wins" package, the gift bags aren't actually officially affiliated with The Academy, but are handed out to the to Oscars nominees Los Angeles-based marketing agency, Distinctive Assets, every year. "We are not gifting Oscar nominees out of a sense of philanthropy," Distinctive Assets founder Lash Fary explained back in 2016. "We are gifting them for the same reason that they are paid upwards of $20 million for a single film... because their personal brand has value as a commodity."
