Reel cinemas will celebrate the Oscars by bringing back a selection of Oscar-nominated films into theatres at its Dubai Mall, Dubai Marina Mall, The Springs Souk, Rove Downtown and Jebel Ali Recreational Club locations. The returning movies were voted on by fans on Reel's social media last week, with the movies selected to screen again including the animated <em>Spider-Man</em> spin off <em>Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (</em>which picked up Best Animated Feature) triple Oscar-winning Marvel super-hero movie<em> Black Panther </em>(it won Best Costume Design, Best Production Design and Best Original Music Score<em>), </em>and<em> Avengers: Infinity War</em> (nominated for Best Visual Effects) and the Freddie Mercury biopic <em>Bohemian Rhapsody, </em>which earned a <a href="https://www.thenational.ae/arts-culture/film/oscars-2019-rami-malek-becomes-the-first-arab-man-to-win-best-actor-1.829899">Best Actor prize for Rami Malek</a> as well as awards for editing and sound editing and mixing<em>.</em> The blockbuster <em>Black Panther, </em>which originally showed in theatres last January won the most votes in online polling. These popular screen flicks have been nominated for the Oscars across categories such as Best Animated Feature Film (<em>Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse</em>), Best Costume Design (<em>Black Panther</em>), Best Visual Effects (<em>Avengers: Infinity War</em>), Best Picture (<em>Black Panther</em>) and Best Actor (Rami Malek <em>Bohemian Rhapsody</em>). Additionally, Reel Cinemas' will also be screening the Best Picture Oscar-nominated <em>Vice </em>and winner <em>Green Book</em>. The films will play in cinemas all week, starting today until Thursday, February 28.
