Christmas has come early for fans of <em>Downton Abbey.</em> The first official teaser for the film spin-off of the wildly popular British TV drama has been released. At a little over a minute long it doesn’t spoil the film's plot but treats the viewer to sweeping shots of the Crawley family's grand estate as a new version of the show's theme plays in the background. The drama ran on ITV from 2010 until 2016. According to <a href="https://ew.com/trailers/2018/12/14/first-downton-abbey-movie-teaser-trailer/">EW.com</a>, shooting for the new film began in early September and finished wrapping just a few weeks ago. The entire principal cast from the last season of the <em>Downton Abbey</em> series returned as well as half the original crew. Fans took to social media to express their excitement: However, despite the hype, fans will have to wait a little while longer to get their fix.
