<span>K</span><span>T Tunstall is heading to the UAE for a couple of weekend gigs.</span> <span>The Scottish singer-songwriter will play an intimate run of Abu Dhabi and Dubai shows this Friday and Saturday at the InterContinental Abu Dhabi and the Habtoor Grand Resort, respectively.</span> <span>Joined by touring guitarist Ryan Keen (who performed alongside Ed Sheeran before the singer went fully solo), Tunstall will perform acoustic versions of her favourite songs including the hits </span><span><em>Suddenly I See, Black Horse and the Cherry Tree</em></span><span> and </span><span><em>Other Side of the World</em></span><span>.</span> <span>The 42-year-old will also play new tracks from last year's EP </span><span><em>Golden State</em></span><span>. As well as the single </span><span><em>Evil Eye</em></span><span>, the four-track collection also contains All Or Nothing which was unlikely hit in France after it was originally written for the French drama </span><span><em>Sam</em></span><span> starring Mathilde Seigner.</span> <span>Tunstall’s UAE shows are part of a mini-regional tour which also has a date in Muscat on Wednesday and visits to local schools in the sultanate.</span> <span>Born in Scotland and now based in Los Angeles, Tunstall arrived on the music scene with her fierce 2004 debut album </span><span><em>Eye to the Telescope</em></span><span> on which the hit </span><span><em>Suddenly I See</em></span><span> won her the UK's prestigious Ivor Novello Award for in 2006 for Best Song Musically and Lyrically</span><span>.</span> <em>KT Tunstall plays the Habtoor Grand Resort, Dubai, on Thursday at 7pm, and the InterContinental Abu Dhabi on Friday at 7pm.
