Lewis Capaldi has been checking out the sights of Dubai ahead of his first show in the Emirates. The Scottish singer was seemingly preparing for his Sharjah concert with an outing to one of Dubai’s newest nightclubs, SKY2.0. Capaldi is set to perform a sold-out show at Sharjah's Al Majaz Amphitheatre on Friday night. UAE resident Chris Wright on Wednesday met and snapped a picture with the star, who was dressed casually in a black jacket and white tee, and sporting his usual ruffled hairdo. Capaldi excitedly announced his first UAE concert on his Instagram page in November, saying: "Buzzing to announce my first ever show in UAE. Can't wait to get over." It comes off the back of a brilliant 2019 for the Someone You Loved singer. Capaldi had campaigned emphatically to get Someone You Loved to the top of America's Hot 100, after six months on the chart, begging basically the entire country on Instagram to give him the top spot. His hard work paid off in November, as he celebrated his biggest hit reigning supreme at the top of the US charts. Known for his hilarious onstage and offstage antics, as soon as the song made it to the top, Capaldi celebrated by having the American flag painted on his face and declaring himself "America's sweetheart". Capaldi's debut album Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent peaked at number one in the UK and Ireland, becoming the fastest-selling album of the year. It returned to the top of the UK charts again this year, to become the first number one album of 2020.
