Ibiza House Orchestra are set to take the stage Fiesta Musica at Zero Gravity over the weekend, drummer and band leader Mike Wake tells us which house music tracks means the most to the covers group. Right Here Right Now - Fatboy Slim This is the track we open our set with. It's such a powerful and emotional track with massive strings and brass that immediately introduce the orchestral element of the IHO while a driving bass line and breakbeat style drums get people on their feet from the moment it all kicks in. It's the perfect opening track to grab the crowds attention and get the goose bumps going immediately. Pjanoo - Eric Prydz You've just gotta have a classic piano house track and this one ticks all the boxes. It comes at a point when our set is really building to its first climax and it never fails to get everyone cheering and throwing their hands in the air the moment the piano riff first drops and once the whole band kicks in it always goes off on the dancefloor. We've added a little tribute to Prince on the outro too which is always great when you see the crowd realise it. Plastic Dreams - Jaydee One of the deeper tracks in our set and a real one for marching to on the dancefloor. The original version doesn't have strings, brass, guitar or percussion in so by adding these we've really kinda remixed this one. Dan, our percussionist, drives the track along on the congas giving it a tribal element which sits so well with the vibe of the track. And the strings and brass just take this classic track to a whole new deep level. Gonna Make You Sweat - C&C Music Factory What a classic! This track has everything and really showcases some of the talent in IHO. It takes our set out of the standard 4 to the floor house vibe and into a slower breakbeat groove with that killer heavy guitar riff that everyone knows so well. Simonne Cooper our lead singer and Dubai resident launches into the track with the well known intro lyric 'Everybody Dance Now' before the guitar riff kicks in followed by the whole band and then the dancefloor always goes crazy. And our multi-talented keyboardist and singer, Yeshe Ryser Ruiz, absolutely nails the rap which lifts this track on another level. And we've added another tribute in this one, this time to David Bowie but I'll give no more away than that, you'll just have to come and see us. Most Precious Love - Blaze Feat Barbara Tucker I won't give away where this comes in our set but it always goes off. It's just a killer classic track with strong vocals and an infectious repetitive riff played out by pretty much the whole band that drives this epic hands in the air track to a climatic build up, breakdown and then massive drop when we all kick back in again. One to make you smile, dance and throw your hands in the air like you really just don't care.
