What's the worst thing that could happen if you're a Taylor Swift fan and you decide to go camping for two weeks without your phone or access to the internet? Well, if you're Delphine, it would be the surprise release of a brand-new album. And, of course, we all know that's what happened when Swift dropped Folklore on Thursday, July 23, after announcing it only 24 hours before. On July 18, a fan named Delphine posted on her Twitter that she'd be without her phone for two weeks and that "if Taylor decides to do something big please yell at me in my DMs and don't follow me for inactivity". By the time she was able to switch her phone on again (July 30), she was bombarded with messages telling her what she had missed while camping. "So I see I went viral while I didn't have my phone. I can't believe Miss Swift really dropped a whole album anyway. I'm gonna listen to it now," she tweeted. As luck would have it, Swift also saw the tweet and took the time to respond to the fan. "Welcome back from your trip! We are all somber woodland fairies now. Feel free to grab a wicker basket and join us," she wrote. Swift first made the announcement of her eighth studio album by tweeting that it was "an entire brand-new album of songs I've poured all of my whims, dreams, fears and musings into". The release comes less than a year after her last album, Lover, was released in August 2019. ________________
Read more: ________________
