Last month, it was announced that British comedian Jimmy Carr was set to perform in Dubai for two nights as part of the DXBLaughs Comedy show series. The shows quickly sold out, and today organisers have announced a third date. The comic, best known for presenting UK comedy panel shows, including 8 out of 10 Cats, will now take to the Dubai World Trade Centre stage on Wednesday, August 12, as well as Thursday, August 13, and Friday, August 14. "I can’t wait to visit Dubai next month," said Carr in a statement. "This will be the first time I perform for my UAE followers and hope that everyone is ready for a laugh during these strange times." In a video message announcing the third date, Carr said he is "desperate to get back on stage". Carr is bringing his Terribly Funny tour to Dubai, which he has been performing across Europe for the past 18 months. Tickets start at Dh195 and, due to the content of the show, there is an age restriction, with only guests above the age of 16 allowed to attend. Organisers say they will ensure social distancing guidelines are adhered to. All guests must wear masks in public areas, there will be obligatory temperature checks upon arrival, social distancing regulations in queues throughout the venue and strictly assigned seats. There will also be hand sanitiser available for guests to use and contactless payment is encouraged. For more information, visit www.dxblaughs.ae
