Potterheads young and old can now relive the excitement of the series when The Philosopher's Stone – the adventures of young wizard Harry Potter (played by a baby-faced Daniel Radcliffe) as he reclaims his magical heritage - arrives in Dubai for a screening at Dubai Opera.
Following the success of the performance at Yas Arena and due to public demand, the film will be shown in high-definition on a towering 40-foot screen, with the score by John Williams recreated in painstaking detail by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra.
ProActiv Managing Partner, Nicolas Renna, said the success of the Abu Dhabi shows highlighted the popularity of Harry Potter in the region.
"We heard our fans, and we are thrilled to announce that we are taking the hit-show to Dubai Opera this December. Having Harry Potter at the state-of-the-art Dubai Opera house, will be an unforgettable experience for all Harry Potter, John Williams and classical music fans!”
The concert will take place from December 7-9, 2017. Tickets start from Dh175 and will go on sale on Wednesday, October 11 via www.dubaiopera.com, www.platinumlist.ae and all Virgin Megastores.

Favourite book: Peter Rabbit. I used to read it to my three children and still read it myself. If I am feeling down it brings back good memories.
Best thing about your job: Getting to help people. My mum always told me never to pass up an opportunity to do a good deed.
Best part of life in the UAE: The weather. The constant sunshine is amazing and there is always something to do, you have so many options when it comes to how to spend your day.
Favourite holiday destination: Malaysia. I went there for my honeymoon and ended up volunteering to teach local children for a few hours each day. It is such a special place and I plan to retire there one day.

Pupils in Abu Dhabi are learning the importance of being active, eating well and leading a healthy lifestyle now and throughout adulthood, thanks to a newly launched programme 'Healthy Lifestyle'.
As part of the Healthy Lifestyle programme, specially trained coaches from City Football Schools, along with Healthpoint physicians have visited schools throughout Abu Dhabi to give fun and interactive lessons on working out regularly, making the right food choices, getting enough sleep and staying hydrated, just like their favourite footballers.
Organised by Manchester City FC and Healthpoint, Manchester City FC’s regional healthcare partner and part of Mubadala’s healthcare network, the ‘Healthy Lifestyle’ programme will visit 15 schools, meeting around 1,000 youngsters over the next five months.
Designed to give pupils all the information they need to improve their diet and fitness habits at home, at school and as they grow up, coaches from City Football Schools will work alongside teachers to lead the youngsters through a series of fun, creative and educational classes as well as activities, including playing football and other games.
Dr Mai Ahmed Al Jaber, head of public health at Healthpoint, said: “The programme has different aspects - diet, exercise, sleep and mental well-being. By having a focus on each of those and delivering information in a way that children can absorb easily it can help to address childhood obesity."
