Egyptian actor Hadi Al Gayyar has died from complications caused by the coronavirus. He was 71. The <em>Azazeel</em> actor was seeking treatment at the Al Haram Hospital in Giza, Egypt, where he died in the early hours of Sunday, January 10. Al Gayyar's death was announced by Ashraf Zaki, the current head of the Actor's Syndicate in Egypt. The late artist is scheduled to be buried after noon prayers on Sunday in the family cemetery in Giza's 6th of October city. Born in October 1949, Al Gayyar studied acting at the High Institute of Theatrical Arts. He made his breakthrough in the popular 1973 play <em>Madraset El Moshaghbeen</em> (<em>School of Rowdies</em>), after which he began acting in a series of television shows, including the 1988 drama <em>Elraya Elbeida</em> (<em>The White Flag</em>) and the 1992 historical show <em>Al Mal wal Banun </em>(<em>Fortune and Progeny</em>). Some of his most notable films include the 1971 drama <em>Thom Tashreq Alshams</em> (<em>Then the Sun Rises</em>) and the 1986 film <em>Ihtares Esabet Alnisaa </em>(<em>Watch Out for the Women's Clan</em>). His most recent works in television include his role in the crime drama <em>Al Ostoura </em>(<em>The Legend</em>) and the 2019 drama <em>Weld Al Ghalabah</em> (<em>Son of the Overwhelmed</em>).
